Kaye Liset & Figgy Caloundra, Queensland - Dog
Figgy has been a BioAktiv dog from the day he arrived home, only 5 weeks old, with a sprinkle on his dry food and in his water daily. He’s not like other dogs his size and age. His coat is shiny and his skin is perfect with no lumps or bumps and he does not scratch like his mates. One noticeable difference is his sweet and non smelly breath and his poo and wee does not smell!! This is very noticeable as I live in an apartment and therefore use an artificial grass matt for emergency toilet use when he needs to relieve himself. Two months ago he found some new friends called ticks. I knew something was not right as he did not want to play or dig in the beach. He started gagging and coughing. On examination I found 5 ticks on him and knew it was not going to be good as 1 tick can kill a dog. My little buddy was in trouble so what followed was hurried trip and 40 minutes visit to an after hours vet with many tears for my sick Figgie. I didn’t hold much hope for bringing him home alive. Eight anxious hours passed by, then the vets told me they had found 17 more ticks in various stages of development - a total of 22 ticks!. Figgy had an allergic reaction to the tick serum and was struggling. A very nervous night for all was had. The next morning I was told Figgy had eaten and been to the toilet - they were very happy with this amazing progress and he was allowed to go home. My regular vet could not believe the report and wanted to see Figgy the next day. “He’s one lucky dog ... I don’t know how he survived.” What I do know is that due to BioAktiv being in his diet he is very fit, healthy and internally has very strong organs. This is the only reason I believe he survived the tick infestation. I can only say, never underestimate the power of a little sprinkle of BioAktiv.
